Buffalo +125 over Minnesota

8:00 PM ET. OT included. Minnesota keeps stacking wins and the market keeps inflating them, and that’s exactly where value shows up. The Wild are chasing their eighth straight and just beat a Colorado team that came in riding a ten-game heater. That result alone is enough to send bettors sprinting to the window to lay a price on the home side. It’s also how you end up paying a premium for a team at the very top of its range.

Buffalo shows up here looking like a throwaway after a 5-0 loss to New Jersey, but the score flat-out lies. The Sabres controlled long stretches, generated chances, and carried play for 40 minutes. They didn’t finish. That’s it. One bad night on the scoreboard doesn’t invalidate the work underneath, and it certainly doesn’t justify this number.

The Wild are on a back-to-back, coming off an emotional, high-energy win over the best team in the league. That’s the exact recipe for a letdown: massive opponent, overtime, shootout, short rest, and a quick turnaround to face an East team the market barely looks at. This is where inflated streaks come to die.

Buffalo has the fresher goaltender in Luukkonen and a young lineup that tends to be at its best when nothing is expected of it. They skate, they push pace, and they’ll welcome a track meet if Minnesota offers one. The Sabres are also catching a Wild team missing key pieces and leaning on players who logged heavy minutes last night.

Minnesota’s streak has turned them into a taxed, overpriced favorite. Buffalo is the undervalued visitor stepping into a ripe spot against a team due for a correction.
