NY Jets +150 over Atlanta

1:00 PM ET. Atlanta finally stopped the bleeding last week, which is great if you believe one win over a Saints team begging to be put out of its misery is some kind of rebirth. We don’t. The market does — just enough to nudge the Falcons into road-favorite territory — and that’s where the opportunity lives. Atlanta was a 5-game losing streak wrapped inside a $100M Kirk Cousins prayer session, and now one tidy little win suddenly turns them into a team we’re supposed to trust on the road? No thanks.

Cousins looked competent last week because New Orleans let him breathe. The Jets will not. Jeff Ulbrich knows that Atlanta offense inside out after spending years teaching half of it. He’ll send pressure, disguise the looks, muddy up Cousins’ reads and force a 37-year-old who doesn’t move anymore to stand in and take shots. We have no issue fading that.

New York is 2-9, yes, but they’re not quitting. Tyrod Taylor is the league’s most professional Band-Aid — he won’t win you a game by himself, but he won’t lose one either. He’ll protect the ball, hit enough throws, and get out of the way while the Jets’ defense tries to steal one. That’s all we’re asking for here. And facing the coordinator who left New York not long ago only adds fuel. Taylor knows Ulbrich’s tendencies. Ulbrich knows Taylor’s habits. That levels the field, and in a low-event game, points matter more.

Atlanta’s missing Drake London, which means Cousins is walking into a road game without his only real perimeter threat. That turns the Falcons offense into a checkdown carousel behind a banged-up offensive line. If New Orleans could sit on this group, what do we think the Jets — who still play like angry men despite the record — are going to do?

The Jets don’t have much to play for, but they’re not tanking. Aaron Glenn even pulled out the Herm Edwards speech — you play to win the game — and for once, he wasn’t wrong. This team still shows up, especially at home. They’ll drag Atlanta into the mud, force a couple long-yardage situations and pray for mistakes. Against Cousins outdoors in late November, that’s not a bad strategy at all.

Take advantage of BET365's early MLB payout offer!

For straight bets, if the team you back to win goes 5 runs ahead at any stage during the game, BET365 will pay out your bet in full regardless of whether the opposition comes back to win the game.

For parlays and Same Game Parlays, if a team you have backed goes 5 runs ahead, this selection will be marked as won within My Bets, with the remaining selections left to run.

Here is a wager we were paid out early on that would eventually lose.
