7:30 PM ET. It’s funny how quickly the narrative shifts in college basketball. Florida enters this matchup as the defending national champion, yet you’d hardly know it based on the market’s reaction. Duke’s undefeated start has overshadowed everything, and with the Blue Devils sitting at 8–0 and punching out covers in six of those games, the market is back to treating them like an automatic ATM. Add in recent head-to-head success against the Gators and this spread inflates itself. But that’s exactly where the opportunity lies.

Florida has stumbled against the number, no question — a 1–6 ATS mark will make any bettor skittish, especially with TCU tagging them last week. But peel back the surface and the story changes. The Gators have been navigating one of the tougher early-season schedules in the country, a slate ranked inside the top 40 in strength of schedule. Duke, on the other hand? Their resume slots outside the top 240 in SOS — a dramatic disparity.

Flip the schedules and it’s not hard to imagine the records flipping as well. And if that happened, what would this line look like? Florida may very well be ranked higher and perhaps even laying a few points. That hypothetical alone shows how bloated this number is. Cameron Indoor is a true edge for the Blue Devils, but numbers don’t lie: Duke is being priced at a premium, while Florida’s stock sits artificially low. This is classic buy-low, sell-high territory.

The Gators have been through the gauntlet already; Duke has not been nearly as stress-tested. In a game where both sides have the talent to trade punches possession to possession, grabbing nearly double digits is simply too much value to ignore. Florida has more than enough to hang.
