Bucknell +120 over Hofstra

7:00 PM ET. When you lay out the early-season evidence, it becomes hard to justify Hofstra as a road favorite here. The Pride are 0–2 in away games and both performances leave plenty to question. Their opener was respectable—a competitive four-point defeat at UCF as a 9.5-point dog. But the follow-up at Iona was a letdown: Hofstra entered as the favorite and trailed virtually the entire way, losing by eight and never establishing control. Beating up on Molloy College from neighboring Rockville Centre afterward tells us nothing. That was a tune-up, not a measuring stick.

Bucknell, on the other hand, has already shown they can punch at—or above—their weight. The Bison opened the season by taking down Delaware at home, then split two challenging road games. They dismantled Mount St. Mary’s by nine as a two-point underdog and then gave Princeton a real battle before the Tigers pulled away late. Bucknell demonstrated resilience, physicality, and the ability to stay competitive for long stretches against stronger teams.

Contrast that with Hofstra’s showing at Iona, where the Pride were outplayed from opening tip to final horn. Now they’re expected to travel into Lewisburg, dictate terms, and win outright? The line doesn’t align with reality. The wrong team is favored, plain and simple. Bison get it done at home.
